At the end of the biweekly held online foal auctions, 26 selected representatives came under the virtual hammer and ended the "Verden Foal Spring" with an average price of a good 6,500 euros. Once again, it was a filly that topped the statistics. Design of Hearts was knocked down at 16,500 euros.

It was the first foal of the selected contingent, which was also the showpiece of the collection "below the line". Seven bidders had already taken turns at the pre-bids before it got exciting again with more bids early Thursday evening at the Final Bid Up. A customer from Hesse paid 16,500 Euros for the Damsey/Quaterback daughter (breeder and exhibitor: Pferdezucht Vilhard, Brombachtal) from a proven Hessian dam line. At the beginning of June, Design of Hearts was celebrated as the champion foal of the show in Linkenheim. Already her full brother was the top foal of "his" foal auction in 2020.

Just four minutes later, another filly appropriately named Voilià c'est moi K - Hier bin ich K - was auctioned for 11,000 euros, marking the second highest price: the buyer of the Vitalis/De Niro daughter (breeder and exhibitor: Dieter Kreyenhagen, Ostercappeln) comes from France.

The six online foal auctions of the Hannoveraner Verband provide a picture of the current foal market. A total of 171 foals were offered, among which outstanding foals were sold for good five-digit net hammer prices, as in previous years. The total net sales of 1.313 million Euros were at the previous year's level, but the number of foals offered was 147, so that the respective total net average price was reduced from 9,085 Euros to 7,681 Euros. The reduced sales quota also reflects the current foal market.

Already on Friday, August 4, the Hannoveraner Verband welcomes buyers and breeders in the Niedersachsenhalle for the big hybrid foal auction (OnLive). After the presentation starting at 12:30 p.m. as part of the Verden Championships, the top-class collection will be auctioned off at 5 p.m. in the Niedersachsenhalle; bids can be submitted live on site, by phone and online.
