Va' Pensiero and Hannah Laser won the Hannoveraner Championships for five-year-old dressage horses with a sensational result. The judges gave the Vitalis/Fürstenball son (breeder: Zuchthof Düvel, Katlenburg-Lindau) three ideal scores of 10 for trot, suppleness and overall impression (final score: 9.5). With this result, the bay stallion, who was purchased by Felix-Ferdinand Becker, Einbeck, at the Verden stallion sales, continues his unbelievable winning streak: Two years ago, he became Hannoveraner and Bundeschampion of three-year-old stallions. In February of this year, he also passed an outstanding sport test in Münster-Handorf. The exceptional stallion has found his breeding home at Klosterhof Medingen.

Vice-Champion in the high-class final was Final Dream by Franziskus/Weltmeyer (breeder: Karin Storkamp, Ibbenbühren), who was masterfully staged by Kira Goerens-Ripphoff. Last year, the dark bay placed fifth in the Bundeschampionat. Ex aequo, Hann.Pr.A. Riminis Queen by Revolution/Ehrentanz (breeder: Gestüt Greim, Bärnau) with Ilsemarie Berkenbusch and Fontane by For Romance II/Stedinger (breeder: Elmadin Löcke, Tiddische) with Jacob Schenk took third place. The rider had discovered the licensed stallion at the stallion sales. It was Fontane's second appearance at the Verden auction, the dark bay was already auctioned off as a foal in the Niedersachsenhalle.

One day later, the six-year-old dressage horses were just as top-class. Boa Vista FRH by Bon Coeur/Scolari (breeder: Ingo Pape, Hemmoor) was the favourite to win. The reigning Bundeschampion and daughter of World Champion Scara Boa won the title with Greta Heemsoth. In the lap of honour, the Hannoveraner premium mare was flanked by two Vice-Champions. With the same score Damaschino FRH by Danone/Fidertanz (breeder: Burkhard Wahler, Medingen) and Hannah Laser and Liam Neeson by Libertad/Sir Oldenburg (breeder: Ingrid and Reiner Toben, Horsten) with rider Kim Brüning came second. This was Liam Neeson's owner Felix-Ferdinand Becker's second great success at the Verden Championships. He purchased Liam Neeson like the Champion of the five-year-olds, Va'Pensiero, at the stallion sales. It was also the second medal for the rider of Damaschino FRH, Hannah Laser, after winning the title in the five-year-olds.
