Nürnberger Burg-Pokal

Destacado FRH and rider Matthias Alexander Rath win in Kronberg.

The Nürnberger Burg-Pokal is Germany's most prestigious competition series for young Grand Prix-horses. Destacaco FRH by Desperados/Londonderry (breeder: Heinrich Gießelmann, Barver, breeding station: Schafhof Stud, Kronberg) won the final with rider Matthias Alexander Rath. With this, the seven-year-old stallion celebrates the next great success of his still young career after winning the Bundeschampionat and the second place at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses.

Third place in the top-class starting field also went to a privately owned Hannoveraner stallion. Fürsten-Look by Fürstenball (breeder: Johannes Sabel, Gersten, station: Paul Schockemöhle, Mühlen) has a Londonderry dam like Destacado FRH and was also Bundeschampion at that time. He won bronze at the World Championships for young dressage horses. Isabel Freese from Norway sat in the saddle of the nine-year-old.

The final of the Piaff-Förderpreis for young riders was also held on the fourth of Advent. The brilliant performance of Der Prinz by Diamond Hit/Davignon (breeder: ZG Neff, Geismar) and Alexa Westendarp was rewarded with second place.
