Sarotti Mocca-Sahne and Lena Merkt European Champions with the German team.

The European Dressage Championships for young riders, juniors and childred took place in Oliva, Spain. The first gold medal for Germany was won by the junior team. The winning quartet included the former Celle state stud stallion Sarotti Mocca-Sahne by Soliman de Hus/Lauries Crusador xx (breeder: Jörg Bätje, Kranenburg) and Lena Merkt. Bronze went to the team from Denmark, where Blue Hors Quintana by Quantensprung/Desperados (breeder: Steffen Brunkhorst, Parnewinkel) with Sophia Ludvigsen contributed significantly to the medal.

 

In the junior class, Sultan des Paludes FRH by Soliman de Hus/De Niro (breeder: Pablo Bouillot, Maussane des Alpilles/FRA) and the British rider Annabella Pidgley became Vice European Champions. Both bronze medals were won by Bodyguard by Burlington/Pik L. (breeder: ZG Frieling, Balge) and Paul Jöbstl from Austria.

 

In the young riders' competition, the Germans were narrowly beaten by the Dutch. The best result for black-red-gold was achieved by the Desperados/Weltmeyer son Descolari (breeder: Manfred Zimmermann, Dümpelfeld) and Luca Sophia Collin. The two won the bronze medal in the individual championships one day later. The second Hannoveraner in the team was the Belissimo M/Brentano II son Blickfang HC (breeder: Theodor Linnenbäumer, Walchum), ridden by Anna Middeberg. The Danes, who finished third, had the Dimaggio/Rotspon son Dieu d'Amour (breeder: Raimund Vorwerk, Lohne) with Sofie K. Hansen in their team.
