The highest bid at the spring edition of the Verden Auction OnLive in April was for Voulez-Vous – the last bid for the bay gelding was 79,000 euros. This made him the highlight of the colourful spring selection, which also included two other top-class horses, Völler and Viola Diamont, which sold for 74,000 euros. On average, the 55 talented riding horses changed hands for 23.309 euros. The first foals of the auction year were also in demand – 16 foals achieved an average price of 7,875 euros. The top price for the youngest was Megadoria for Fun, which was sold at 13,000 euros.
The quality of the V-Plus/Fürsten-Look son Voulez-Vous (breeder and exhibitor: Michael Schenk, Römstedt) had not gone unnoticed by the auction customers either. Expressive and with a clear perspective, the bronze medalist of the 2024 Hannoveraner Championships for three-year-old riding horses was sold for 79,000 euros. He will be the first Verden auction horse in the stable of a dressage rider from Bavaria.
The representatives of the first crop of the privately owned stallion V-Plus were very popular with buyers. Völler by V-Plus/Rubin-Royal (breeder: Rolf Peters, Jork, exhibitor: Frederik Garrn, Guderhandviertel) left the Niedersachsenhalle for Colombia for 74,000 euros.
One of the last horses in the highly interesting collection also fetched 74,000 euros: Viola Daimont by Valdiviani/Borsalino. Right at the beginning of the exciting auction day, her breeder and exhibitor Gerd Neukäter had reason to be pleased. His Blockbuster/Cascadello son Best Buddy (exhibitor: Ilka Schaaf, Voerde) was the most expensive show jumper at 46,000 euros. A friend of the Verden auctions from China secured the eight-year-old, who has already impressively demonstrated his performance in the show jumping course under the saddle of granddaughter Anna Lena Schaaf with top placings. He will be accompanied by three other auction horses: Chica by Clinton's Heart/Stolzenberg (breeder: Heinz-Wilhelm Boldt, Lintig, exhibitor: Ursula Dubbels, Fredenbeck) for 21,500 euros, Gin Blossoms by Grey Top/Quebec (breeder and exhibitor: ZG Meyer u. Aller, Wurster Nordseeküste), who cost 30,000 euros, and Che Guevara Dacora by Central Park/Cornet's Stern (breeder and exhibitor: Dr. Corinna Kröly, Wedemark) for 20,000 euros
The first foals of the Verden auction year also got off to a brilliant start. Auctioneer Bernd Hickert accepted the bid for Megadoria for Fun by Meganus PS/Cador (breeder and exhibitor: Jan Crome-Sperling, Lutter am Bbg.) at 13,000 euros. Her dam is none other than the half-sister of Luciana Diniz's Olympic horse Fit for Fun.
