For the 13th time, the Hannoveraner Verband has honoured outstanding young stallions with the best performance test results with the Weltmeyer and Stakkato Prizes. Three of the five award-winning stallions received their honours in a ceremony in front of a large audience at the 33rd Show of privately owned stallions in Verden.

For two years now, Escaneno by Escamillo/Veneno (Breeder and station: Tobias Schult, Hünxe), has been successfully standing at stud and is highly popular among breeders. He was awarded the Weltmeyer Prize. Last year, the expressive bay, ridden by Jacob Schenk, was named Hannoveraner Vice Champion of five-year-old dressage horses. Prior to that, he impressed in both parts of his sport test, receiving top scores, particularly for his rideability. His exceptional quality is no coincidence: Escaneno’s granddam is the renowned St.Pr.St. Reine Freude by Ravallo/Frühlingstraum from the prestigious dam line of Jucking.

Another textbook career is that of Global Hope, a 2020-born Global Player/ Fidertanz son (breeder: ZG Werth, Moers; station: Klosterhof Medingen). He is the second Weltmeyer Prize recipient presented in the dressage arena by Jacob Schenk. In 2023, he was celebrated as both the Hannoveraner Champion and Bundeschampion of three-year-old riding horses. That year in Warendorf, he received the perfect score 10 for rideability and trot. With this achievement, Global Hope follows in the hoofprints of his half-brother Vogue by Vitalis, who also secured both championship titles and is now based in the yard of Olympic Champion Jessica von Bredow-Werndl.

Sporting excellence defines Geoffrey FRH by George Z/Cornado dam (breeder: Heinrich Burmester, Brüninghorstedt; station: Fromberger Hof, Bovenau), who received the Stakkato Prize. After securing second place at the Hannoveraner Show Jumping Masters 2023, he went on to claim the bronze medal at the Bundeschampionate the following year and participated in the World Championships for Young Show Jumping Horses in Lanaken (BEL). In recognition of his achievements, Geoffrey was granted the prestigious FRH suffix by the Hannoveraner Förderverein. Earlier this year, Geoffrey FRH achieved the second-best result in sport test part II in Münster-Handorf – consistently ridden by Birgit Gärtner-Döller.

Two further stallions will receive their Stakkato Prize at a later date. With a weighted final score of 8.48, Elton by Emerald van het Ruytershof/Ludwig von Bayern (breeder: Jens Löhden, Heeslingen) secured second place in the 50-day test in Adelheidsdorf. He will take up his first stallion box at the Main and State Stud Marbach. Elton’s pedigree traces back to a Shagya Arabian mare, and his dam line has already produced numerous top-level show jumpers. Vincero by Viscerado/Stakkato (breeder: Karen Michaelis, Nordahn) stands at the State Stud Celle and has already demonstrated his exceptional talent. After finishing top of his class in sport test part I in Elmshorn, he was only bested by Geoffrey FRH in sport test part II in Münster-Handorf. Vincero is among the most successful representatives of the dam line of Schildamsel – the same dam line that produced Paul Schockemöhle’s legendary show jumper, Deister.
