The top price at the Verden Auction OnLive YoungSTARS in Verden was 19,500 euros. In the magnificent open-air setting, the black colt Candinsky was auctioned off to the United States. On average, the 69 representatives of the 2025 crop achieved a hammer price of 7,224 euros via the internet or with local bids.

The final bid for Candinsky by Cornet Obolensky/Contendro (breeder and exhibitor: Deborah Johannhardt, Bruchhausen-Vilsen), came from California. The black colt will now make the journey across the Atlantic. Candinsky is the third foal of the mare Carlina to find a new owner at a foal auction organised by the Hannoveraner Verband. Another highlight of the collection was Hellfire PJ, a son of the legendary show jumper Heartbreaker. His dam Conny by Contender/Sandro has already produced four sons licensed in Hanover, including Gunfire PJ and Kandoo PJ, both placed at S level. A regular Hannoveraner customer from Bavaria secured this rarity for 15,500 euros.

Two foals with top dressage pedigrees each cost 17,000 euros. One of them was Vitus van Scheifele by Venturo/Fürst Jazz. For exhibitor Salome Mari Scheifele, the YoungSTARS auction was a special experience. The 20-year-old from Verden only started breeding last year and took over the mare Freya from renowned breeder Heinrich Behrmann. He also helped her select the stallion. “A great example of the Hannoveraner Verband’s Next-Gen Breeder project,” said auctioneer Bernd Hickert. The powerful bay will grow up at a large stallion station in South Oldenburg. The second foal, with a hammer price of 17,000 euros, was Tabaluga by True Hope PS/Dancier Gold (breeder and exhibitor: Bettina Wienkämper, Westerkappeln). The glossy black movement artist is also going to the very best of hands for stallion rearing.
